SM Foundation Donated Kalinga Packs to LPA Affected Families in Zamboanga City

Another round of Operation Tulong Express was activated by SM Foundation, through SM City Mindpro, which aided 1,300 families affected in the recent Low Pressure Area in Zamboanga City.

Operation Tulong Express was activated by SM Foundation to help families affected by the recent flooding in Tetuan, Zamboanga City due to an LPA in the area.

Staying true to its commitment to being one of the first responders during disasters, SM City Mindpro employee-volunteers led the distribution of Kalinga Packs to Barangays Tetuan and Sta. Maria, its tenant employees, and agency partners who were greatly affected by heavy rainfall and flashflood caused by an LPA last January 11.

Moreover, SM City Mindpro, in partnership with Philippine Red Cross, reactivated its Operation Tulong Express booth at the ground level accepting cash donations. Proceeds will be turned over to Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga Chapter for their emergency response initiatives.



The corporate social responsibility program called Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) is a social good program of SM Foundation in collaboration with SM Supermalls and SM Markets which aims to address the needs of communities during calamities and crises.
